With the water pollution increasing, more water parameters need to be measured; higher performance is brought forward to the water analyzers. The conventional methods are low rate, complex operation, and bad stability with high maintenance cost, expecially the Add-ons chemical leds new pollution to water.UV spectrum water analyzer has high efficiency and can test more parameters quickly. Chemical free makes it avoid pollution; the maintenance cost is low to zero. But the UV water analyzers on market are most based on single wave or double waves; what's more the import products cover a larger proportion 70%. So it is in dire need of localization.This paper introduces a UV water analyzer which has a sensor based on flat field and imaging concave grating and MOS imaging detector, it has a DSP chip as CPU. All that makes it can measure multiple parameters compatibly. The major work as follows:1. Analyzing the water analyzers status quo, this paper introduces the principle of two major water test methods (chemical and physical) by discussing their merits and faults. Paper also shows the principle and technology of UV spectrum puting emphases on several advanced UV water analyzers of foreign companys.2. This paper accomplishes the frame of sensor and controller by designing every part of the circuits; all the parts of sensor are immovable that makes the system more reliable. The whole spectrum will be gotten by only one scan.3. By experiments, we chose the key wave band (250~350nm) of absorbency and use L-M BP arithmetic built in Matlab ANN toolbox to deal with 12 kinds of absorbance data of C8H5KO4 solution. Experiments get perfect COD forecast result and also compare it to LS arithmetic. But in the real waste water measurement, L-M BP has biggish error needing for further study and improvement.4. Studying the errors, the paper mainly makes experiments on temperature change in 00C~500C, gets the relationship between temperature and absorbance. Because of the reasonable experiment method, the error is quite small (2 %<).5. At last, the paper gropes for multiple parameters'compatibility mainly by making study on Ammonia-Nitrogen measurement. It lays a good foundation for the multi-parameter compatibility including gas parameters.
