n-Hexanoic acid was synthesized from hydrogen peroxide and hexanol over Ru/Al2O3.Various alcohols could be promptly converted into the corresponding esters with AlCl3 supported on strong acid cation exchange resin in good yield. The yield of methyl hexanoate is 94.73%.The yield of ethyl hexanoate is 95.12%.The yield of isopropyl hexanoate is 94.97%.N,N-dimethylchlorosulfitemethaniminium Chloride from DMF and SOCl2 was found an efficient reagent for the synthesis of 2-pentylbenzimidazole from n-Hexanoic acid with o-phenylenediamine and the synthesis of 2-pentylbenzoxazole from n-Hexanoic acid with 2-Aminophenol. 5-Nitro-2-pentylbenzimidazole was synthesized by the nitration of 2-pentylbenzimidazole using strong sulphurnic acid and strong nitric acid. The products were characterized by spectrum of IR,1HNMR and MS.Effect of the reaction temperature, reaction time, the molar ratio of reactants, choice of catalyzer and the dosage of catalyzer on yield was investigated through single variable experiments. The optimum reaction conditions were obtained.AlCl3 supported strong acid cation exhange resin was high efficient catalyzer for the esterfacation reaction of n-Hexanoic acid with alcohols.N,N-dimethylchlorosulfitemethaniminium Chloride were high efficient catalyzers for n-Hexanoic acid with o-phenylenediamine and 2-Aminophenol.
