In this dissertation, PAN-based carbon fiber and aniline were chosen as the raw materials, the mothod of chemical oxidation was used to the surface coating of CF.Polyaniline was characterized by means of XPS, FTIR, XRD and TG. And the effects of different technical conditions to the conductivity and yield were studied. The methods of nitric acid oxidation and in-situ PANI coating were adopted to modify the surface properties of CF. Then, using modern analytical instruments, the microstructure and activated functional groups on the modified CF surface, elemental analysis of the modified CF and the coating mechanism of PANI on the CF surface were investigated. The results indicate that the nitric acid oxidation helps to increase the oxygen-containing functional groups, PANI coated on the CF surface via chemical bonds. The attenuation characteristics of the modified CF in the 3mm and 8mm wave were tested by the special testing equipment. The attenuation value of the modified CF (1.5mm,40mg,3mm wave)was 19.8dB, increased by 33%.The value of the modified CF (4mm,30mg,8mm wave)was over 30dB.
