In this paper,the techniques about electroless copper and coated with BaFe12O19on the surface of short carbon fiber were studied,after repeated experiments to explore,the optimal technical conditions were obtained,the effect factors of preparation were studied systematically,the results show that when temperature is 60℃,pH value is 12~13 and when loading capacity is 0.6 g/L~0.7g/L,the carbon fiber coated with uniform Cu particles is obtained;Carbon fibers coated with BaFe12O19were successfully prepared by citrate sel-gel process,the appearance and composition of the composite carbon fiber material were characterized by SEM,XRD,IR and XPS.The attenuation characteristics of Cu-coated carbon fiber and ferrite-coated carbon fiber in the 3mm and 8mm wave were tested by the special testing equipment.Results show that the attenuation capability of Cu-coated carbon fiber is obviously better than the conventional countermeasure materials;because of preferable magnetic loss,the attenuation capability of ferrite-coated carbon fiber was increased in the 8mm wave band, but in the 3mm wave band,because of lesser magnetic loss and large resistivity,the attenuation capability was weakened.On the whole,composite carbon fiber material which was provided with excellent MMW attenuation capability has broad application prospects.
