In this thesis, finite element models of radial tire are successfully built with ABAQUS. During modeling, the incompressible rubber uses the Yeoh material model, and the carcass and the belt use the Rebar elements. At the same time, the influences of the geometric nonlinearity, the material nonlinearity, and the nonlinearity boundary conditions from the tire-pavement contact are all taken into accounted.Firstly, deformation, distributions of stresses and strains are systematically analyzed for the radial tire under inflatable condition. Secondly, this paper analyse shear stress, shear strain of rubber belt, and corresponding curves are given. Finally, different load influence shape of tire's foot-print is analysed under tire ground static contact conditions. The F E A results of deformation, stresses and strains of radial tire for inflatable condition in this study are consistent with the actual instance. Some results for the tire-ground static contact state is also in accord with the data of corresponding references. Therefore, it could be concluded that the finite element models built in this paper are reasonable, and the results could be used as guide for structural design and optimization of radial tire.
