The conventional control with meters, which mainly uses manual controlling and depends on the knowledge and experience of operators, is adapted in traditional sewage treatment plans. However, instability for the quality of processed water, low labor productive and decentralization of information system are the most fatal disadvantages.Activated sludge process is not only economical but also simply used to improve the quality of water at home and broad today. Accurately controlling DO in oxidation ditch is the premise for better effect of process and economical benefits. As the nonlinear biochemical process in biochemical processing for activated sludge, and the fluctuation of water volume, it is difficulty for maintaining the value of DO of layout. In order to improve the quality of the sewage treatment plant discharges to reduce the cost of sewage treatment must be the application of advanced automatic control equipment, technology and advanced control theory. Therefore, control of the sewage treatment process applied research of great significance.A control system for Gaowei Sewage treatment plant, Shandong, is presented in this thesis. The Carossel oxidation is used in process for sewages and sludge. The control system is made by PLC, SWITH and IPC. It has advantages of complete-function, convenience configuration, friend interface, easily expanding, technology maturity and high performance. Kingview 6.51 for Window XP is used to develop the software of control system and Siemens PLC ladder diagram and statement list is used to design for PLC integrating with controlling Kingview software. This article in analysis active sludge sewage treatment system intrinsic mechanism foundation Has established between the reflection dissolved oxygen ,the active sludge as well as the substrate the intrinsic relational mathematical model Considering the complexity in process flow for oxidation, and characteristics of hysteresis quality and nonlinear, the PID controller based on BP neutral network is adapted in order to achieve good robustness. It also guarantees stable quality of water process and saves costs.At last, simulation experiment based on BP neutral network is carried out by using Simulink tool in Matlab, the outcome testified the effectiveness and robustness of controlling strategy, and the value for universally using.
