Aiming at problems of the traditional ion exchange technology in tungsten hydrometallurgy,including low concentration of the feed solution,high water consumption and waste water discharge and so on,a novel ion exchange technology is advanced,which strong alkali anion-exchange resin in HCO3- form is applied as adsorption agent and mixing ammonium solution including NH4HCO3 and(NH4)2CO3 as desorption agent.The influence of concentration of WO3 and NaOH in feed,contact time of adsorption on adsorption of WO3,the influence of composition of desorption agent,contact time on WO3 desorption,and the behavior of impurities phosphor and arsenic in adsorption and desorption is explored in the single-column with simulated feed at first,and then test in serial column is conducted,at last the industrial feed is used to confirm the result of experiment.The result shows that,the novel ion exchange technology can separate phosphor and arsenic from WO3 while convert Na-2WO4 to (NH4)2WO4,the novel ion exchange technology is feasible in technique. The WO3 concentration of the feed solution in the novel ion exchange technology can be up to 80~100 g/L,is higher than the one in the traditional ion exchange technology notable,the effluent of adsorption can be returned for leaching after proper treatment.The novel ion exchange technology can strengthen the production,reduce the water consumption and waste water discharge,recover the alkali in leaching liquor of tungsten ores,and is an clean production technology for tungsten hydrometallurgy.
