In this thesis, the impact sensitivity and friction sensitivity of RDX and TNT with different relative moisture content are tested. Three factors including relative moisture content,vacuum and temperature are studied during the drying process.Through the drying experiment, the drying data under various conditions are obtained, and the drying equations are simulated according to the drying curves. The influences on the drying process of RDX and TNT under various conditions are studied both from the drying statics and the drying kinetics, and also the rules are summarized from the drying curves and the drying rate curves. According to the orthogonal experiment, the optimal conditions are acquired.The drying experimental results under different conditions show that: when the relative moisture content of RDX and TNT decreased, both the the impact sensitivity and friction sensitivity were increased.The drying rate was increased with the moisture content, but it needed a longer cycle time. The drying rate can be improved while the vacuum was increased, and the drying cycle can be shortened. But when the vacuum was increased to a certain degree, the drying rate of the materials was no longer changed obviously. When the temperature was increased, the moisture evaporation becomes faster, the drying rate becomes faster at the same time. But it can result in some changes in the properties of materials, such as decomposition of RDX and TNT, agglomeration of TNT, when the temperature was too high.According to the orthogonal experiment, the energy consumption,the cost of products,the safety of production the performance of dried products and the other factors included, the optimal conditions are acquired. The optimal drying condition for RDX is 80℃,0.05MPa. The optimal drying condition for TNT is 70℃,0.03MPa.So drying is an essential part during the production process of RDX and TNT. These experimental results can provide necessary basic data for the drying process of RDX and TNT.
