Carbon fiber composite material is a high performance,multi-functional advanced composite materials.Carbon fiber reinforced composite materials (referred to as carbon-fiber composite material) has a specific strength,high specific modulus, anti-fatigue performance,excellent heat resistance,etc.,has been widely used in aviation,aerospace,automotive,sports,entertainment and other areas.Carbon fiber composite materials because of its excellent performance in the aerospace field for more widely used,its components light weight,high stiffness,but the accuracy of the components after molding are mainly the need for post processing.This paper focuses on developing an empirical model for the prediction of milling temperature in high speed end mill of carbon fiber composite. The spindle speeds,feed rate,axial and radial depth of cut are considered as the affecting factors.The data for establishing the model are form high-speed and milling experiment conducted on a 5-axis machining center according to the principles of DOE(design of experiments)method.The influences of milling parameters on milling forces are investigated by analyzing the experimental curves.Consequently,multivariate linear regression analysis is applied in developing the empirical model.Milling is a carbon fiber composite material processing an important tool.Of carbon fiber composite materials for the processing of some of the problems that exist,then how to improve the processing of carbon fiber composite material is called the quality of the main research contents.Including the cutting parameters of control,milling of carbon fiber composite materials,delamination factor and average axial force exists between the linear or sub-linear relationship.This topic comes from a sub-topic of science and technology for the carbon fiber composite materials in high-speed milling process parameters optimization to reduce tool wear,improving surface roughness provides a good basis for data and analysis methods.
