Interior space, as an important place for human activities, its quality arouses prevailed attention from people. Meanwhile, radon, which is one of the radioactive substances widely existing in nature, it can enter the interior space through various channels, it is a great threat to people's health. The research on relationship between interior density of radon and the possibility of being attacked by lung cancer is a hot issue at home and abroad. Cave dwelling, as a kind of traditional dwelling structure in the loess plateau in China, appeals to many domestic and international architecture scholars because of its architectural features, such as the adaption to the environment, low cost and advantage of warm in winter and cool in summer. More and more scholars advocate for the development of caves and they have paid great attention on the problems of cave dwelling, such as darkness, damp and collapse. However, they rarely touched upon the pollution problem on radon in caves. This paper, by discussing the nature of the radon, aims to raise the problem of radon pollution in caves and tries to propose measures to prevent radon pollution under the background of interior space pollution issue of radon and engage more and more scholars in concerning and studying the issue of radon pollution in cave dwelling.
