Silver separating residue is the remaining residue after the copper anodic mud had been extracted siliver,which has complex compoents and contains a little rare and precious metals.For the Daye Nonferrous Metals Company rare and precious metals plant can not handle the silver separating residue.With analysis of the silver separating residue's composition and the presence of metal form, after theoretical analysis and practical investigation, a suitable process was selected.According to theoretical analysis and practical experience, the two stage pyrometallurgical process is selected when reduction smelt the slag first and then oxidation smelt the slag second and validated by industrial trials.The experimental results implied that the process is practcable in technique and reasonable in economy,and it could obtain the lead-antimony alloy meeting the lead-electrolysis requirements.The direct recovery rate of gold and silver are up to 96%.Confirming industrial design parameters and designing engineering working drawing by industiral trials, reliable industrial equipments are seleced, and existing technology and facility advantage are fully utilized in the design.The project is designed to deal with 1200 tons of silver slag(dry basis) every year, and the product of precious lead (semi-manufactures)is 341.1t/a.Economic technology analysis indicates that lead-antimony alloy is the outcome of recuction smelting and oxidation smelting containing lead, gold and silve is 97%.The average profit total amount 2,320,000 Yuan/a.The result described above indicates that the energy consumption can be reduced and the comprehensive recovery of rare precious metals can be improved when carrying on the technical transformation of the craft to rare precious metal factory of Daye nonferrous metal comply. This technical transformation will make obvious benefits and play a good role in the same industy.
