Because of the advantages of the high efficiency, light weight, small size, excellent electrical performance, good performance arc welding process, the inverter is widely used in welding industry. The current inverter welding power source circuit haves a very common situation that the system electromagnetic compatibility, reliability, and feature modular problems, so they impede the rapid development of arc welding power source. The introduction of DSP control technology is not only an effective solution to the common problem of the inverter welding power source, but also realizes the digital inverter welding power source. Therefore, the study of digital inverter arc welding power source has a very important meaning to the development of welding power source. Systematic modeling and computer simulation for DSP control technology advancing play a great role in promoting the application of the DSP control technology in welding equipment. We study the DSP control technology by modeling and simulating the circuit of welding power source. The main research contents include:We analysis the IGBT inverter arc welding parts of the structure. We established the main inverter circuit and control system hardware. The inverter main circuit computer simulation model is established with Multisim simulation software. Simulation of the IGBT full-bridge inverter welding power source input and output waveform of the change process is got. We simulate controlling system with MATLAB software. We established inverter controlling system simulation model, which simulated later and got the results. In particular, PID controller parameters on the controller performance are simulated. At last the external characteristics of IGBT inverter arc welding power source are simulated. we measured the external characteristics of IGBT inverter arc welding power source. We draw external characteristics curves according to the simulation data compared with the test results. The results show that simulation results are consistent with the experimental results.We get the simulation waveform of rectifier, filter, inverter, resonant, again rectified by establishing model and simulating with Multisim soft. We get the simulation waveform of PWM driver,current and voltage and the KP,Ki,Kd of PID controller. It proves possible to simulation model with compared.
