This paper is based on DongHaoChong Bridge strengthen project to elaborate Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) on concrete beam and further study testing result, construction technology.Research result show FRP has been applied to many civilization engineering fields for its high load-carrying capacity, light quality, high bearing fatigue and bearing corrosion etc. Its unique superior performance expresses during reinforce concrete especially. Study report shows that the load–carrying capacity of concrete beam is limited before concrete using CFRP sheets strengthening,and the best action is reinforcement yield after concrete. Based on this conclusion, applying pre-stressing CFRP sheets to concrete beam during DongHaoChong Reinforce project so as to enlarge elastic range of materials,increase bearing capacity and fatigue resistance,decrease deformation,and reduce engineering cost.Currently, pre-stressing CFRP sheet on concrete beam is new technology that few projects neither articles have such practice or related study even not to mention the study after reinforce. It a big difficulty for an engineer to verify design without statistic or practice.Regarding current situation, how to get reliable formulation to calculate, how to develop with effective construction technology and how to get scientific, reliable statistic to verify are 3 main barriers currently.While based on the experience on DongHaoChong project, linear analysis, non-linear analysis and testing result were adopted to study. Finally, accurate and scientific pre-stressing CFRP statistic and load-carrying capacity calculation were got for further application. Meanwhile, construction technology and facility performance were improved during simulation testing in the result of satisfy the actual condition of construction period and apply into real project.
