At present, the urban landscape color study has been paid widespread attention at home and abroad. The color has become a city landscape and cultural identity of good or bad. Kunming is one of the first batch of historical and cultural city, the city has 2,200 years of history. The Traditional Block of Kunming is the most concentrated district for expression the Kunming traditional cultural. In the long historical process, buildings and billboards and other significant landscape color have been formed distinct characteristics. But in the most nearly three decades, this distinct characteristics suffered serious vandalism. However, so far there is no systemic study and plan for the landscape color in this distinct.In view of such situation, based on the first-hand information, this thesis attempts to get a system landscape color research in this distinct with theories help which include the Color Geography, the Color Aesthetics, the Street Aesthetics, the Theories of Urban Landscape Planning etc.First, based on the studying of the urban landscape color study history and present situation at home and abroad, the paper analyzed and summarized planning principles on the traditional block landscape colorSecond, according to the color theories of Geography, the thesis analyzed and summarized the causes on the traditional block landscape color. Mainly on the natural environment and cultural environment in Kunming analysis of induction.Then, both from the perspective of natural light and artificial light, the paper collected and analyzed the landscape color on buildings and billboards in this distinct, showed the status of the landscape colors, demonstrated a proposition that the construction color in the block were affected by three architectural color style which include Han nationality architectural color style, French architectural color style, and the Minority in Kunming architectural color style.Finally, for the purpose of conservation and heritage, the paper put forward the color planning and design concept for this block. Starting from the analysis of examples, the paper demonstrated that it is very important and urgent to pay more attention on the color control and management in the block and the surrounding areas of the block.
