Ever since 1960s,due to its advantages of great impact force and high energy-efficiency, the hydraulic vibration shock system has been studied a lot and been widely applied in high power fields, such as stone breaker and rock drilling, as well as low power applications, such as hydraulic riveting, fatigue life testing, vibration screen, etc. In this paper, an improved new kind of electro-hydraulic file-cutting machine was presented.This paper drew the outlines of history, state of the art and the developing trend of hydraulic vibration shock system, and then expanded on several widely used equipments. The electro-hydraulic file-cutting machine based on high speed on/off valve was designed, whose system construction, working principle, characteristics of both the system and critical components were studied. Mathematical models of system and high speed on/off valve were built; simulation based on AMESim was carried out. Finally, a prototype was made and measured to verify the prior analysis.Contents of each chapter list as follows:In instruction part, distinctions between hydraulic vibration shock system and other hydraulic system was introduced first.Basic principles, classifications, applications and hot topics of hydraulic vibration shock system were illustrated later on. Then comparisons among the most used equipments in the market were made. Two main study methods, namely linear model and non-linear model, were briefly introduced. At last, the history and development of file-cutting machine were mentioned.In Chapter 2, working principle of the hydraulic system of the file-cutting machine based on high speed on/off valve was intensively studied. And also, the structural characteristics of high speed on/off valve, cylinder, accumulator and electromagnetic actuator were illustrated.In Chapter 3, Nonlinear mathematical models of both high speed on/off valve and the constructed system were precisely built, and simulation by AMESim wass carried out, by which the influence of structure parameters and control signal on the valve and system were discussed. Furthermore, simulation by Ansoft of the electromagnetic actuator was also carried out to study its behavior.In Chapter 4, a prototype was built and measured, through which the relationship of parameters and the impact force were described. The results of test agree well with simulation which verified the correctness of the prior analysis. The advantages of the presented file-cutting machine over the traditional mechanical model was as well proofed, energy efficiency, low noise, stable and adjustable frequency, economical competitiveness.The final chapter simply drew a summary of the study above, and took a glance into the future development of the hydraulic vibration shock system.
