Natural Materials In Modern Green Product Design

With high-speed development, modern society has created comfortable, convenient and fast life with socialized mass-production. Unavoidably, it at the same time accelerates the consumption of natural resources and pollution to the nature. So the balance of ecology has been destroyed. "Eco-design" has begun to be a hot topic. The use of natural materials is one of the solutions to this problem. But with the limitation of modern technology, natural materials do not meet the needs of mass-production and cannot expand its domain of application. Nowadays, because of its green characteristics, natural materials have been paid more attention by people. And the improvement of manufacture, production and technology has added more possibilities for natural materials' application. The applications of natural materials can change the temperament of product design, bringing new and fresh experience visually and tactually. And this trend has made the design industry more and more sustainable while satisfies people with their mental needs of being close to nature.
