Pile foundation is a popular style of foundation in modern architecture. We have accumulated a wealth of experience in the practice and, at the same time confront some problems. This thesis attempts to probe into them. It contains these aspects as follow:1. With regard to geological conditions, Ganzhou City of Jiangxi Province is devided in to three districts. Based on the devision, different kinds of pile foundations are studied. This study is based on the information from engineering geological surveys, laboratory tests and real projects of different districts. It is hoped that the research is useful to the construction, especially to plan design.2. The text introduces several traditional load testing methods used in the piles which includes static test method,dynamic test method and the Self-balance loading pile test. The principle,the equipment,the test ways have been summed up firstly. Besides, the text analyzes and compares the advantages and disadvantagesof each method. Combined with a project, the Self-balance testing method and calculation theory related are carried out and peferable efficiency is obtained.
