Investigation Report Of The Anqiu Residential Screen Wall Status Quo

The object of this paper is the Screen Wall of civilian residential housing in Anqiu. Shandong province.At present, Screen Wall is very common in folk house of Anqiu. Comparing with the traditional Screen Wall, nowadays it has changed a lot at Anqiu with new features. Through the combination of on site investigation and literature review, the author tries to do a thorough survey and summary, have a full understanding of the current status of Anqiu's dwelling Screen Wall by categorizing, comparing and analyzing the form and content based on all the information collected, and establish relatively complete database of dwelling Screen Wall. In retrospection and textual research on the origin of Screen Wall, combining Anqiu's regionalism and humanistic environment, the writer identified the change and cause of formation of current status from historical and cultural background, social system and residents living, etc., demonstrated its function and the meaning of existence, and explored the current status of Anqiu folklore and aesthetic of local residents.Screen Wall is closely linked with Anqiu residents' daily life. to a great extent, reflecting the daily life and mental attitute of the local residents with consistency to the entire social life. The construction of new countryside needs calm and prudent thinking and maybe we can find another way out from the original ecological and traditional culture. While we enjoy the convenience of the city life, we need to reflect more about the present pattern of civilization from the essential of life. In fact. it is difficult to judge the original ecological aesthetic demand of the local residents from the Screen Wall as commercialization has penetrated into every corner of the society with the further development of industrialization. The style of Screen Wall in many places in Shandong province becomes similar and the distinct Screen Walls with local features gradually dwindle down. Regarding culture and aesthetic expression, the creativity of the ordinary residents is disappearing step by step and becoming more dependent. During the investigation,39 villages,5 factories, and 7 stores of building materials in different places were visited.1807 Scree Walls were photoed.6 interviews were taped.
