In this paper, the fluid cylinder stroke classification and overview of detection techniques were introduced more comprehensive, focusing on the current domestic and foreign hydraulic cylinder stroke detection technology status and development trends. Travel in large industrial control systems, real-time monitoring systems and require higher precision. The current monitoring system in the use of potentiometer-type sensor, Hall Switch-encoding circuit for displacement measurement. But these methods in real time and precision advantages and disadvantages.In the paper, a variety of industrial environments for the new large stroke laser ranging system. First introduced the large sensor based on laser ranging itinerary design principle of laser ranging system. System consists of control systems, laser ranging sensor, reflective plates. Control system structure of upper and lower computer, the PC is a PC, using the VB interface to achieve upper and lower computer serial communication. Lower computer using the company's 8-bit microcontroller ATMEL ATMEGA128, and implantation of an embedded operating system Salvo, a reasonable allocation of multi-tasking and memory optimization, to achieve a laser ranging sensor detection equipment as a stroke, the displacement data acquisition and display; to achieve upper and lower computer communication; temperature detection; parameter settings. In the design process, given the system's hardware design and program design methods and experimental verification of the system through the practicality.This paper highlights the new laser range finder works, the control system software and hardware design and advantages, and simulation of the actual situation, for the precision of the system to do a preliminary test using the prototype.
