The ultrasonic elliptical vibration cutting technology makes the tool cut the work piece with the elliptical vibration orbit, it has brought a series of fine craft effectiveness and improved the machining accuracy. The methods of experimental study, theory modeling and software analysis are used to study finite element dynamics simulation of the ultrasonic elliptical vibration process. By analyzing the properties of piezoelectric ceramic and the mathematical model of piezoelectric transducer, The working principle and development methods of the longitudinal piezoelectric transducer have been researched. Sandwich transducer for the finite element modal analysis, by means of ANSYS software about the piezoelectric coupling theory, observed the vibration type, deformation and displacement distribution of transducer, and obtained the frequency of the resonance and the theoretical of the transducer were verified. through mechanics analysis it elaborated one kind compound elliptical vibration transducer system, which make up of elliptical vibration pole and longitudinal sandwich transducer; it carried on the transient state simulation through load sine change vibration displacement to vibration vibration pole, simultaneously has carried on the harmonic response frequency characteristic analysis by means of ANSYS, the result indicate it exists phase dispersion between flexural and longitudinal vibrations response on small end surface of pole, and confirmed the condition of the elliptical vibration form on vibration pole small end surface. Through dynamics simulation for the double bending elliptical vibration transducer of the pastes type in double motivation, it make clear that the double bending elliptical vibration transducer can make elliptical vibration response in double motivation from the simulation angle of view. Finally, the metrical frequency approaches with the mode analysis has been surveyed when piezoelectric transducer is in vibration amplitude peak value by means of experiment. it also verify the longitudinal-flexural composite elliptical vibration can be achieved by a single vertical pole in under sole longitudinal drive power.
