In this thesis, the background of military off-road vehicle project, through the cam drum brake design and analysis solution for enterprise cam drum brake specific design problems.First of all vehicles in braking problems arising in the process are classified, analyzed, identified by some of the design mainly caused by brake problems, such as the lack of braking force, unreasonable structure parts, brake drums had unbalance large air chamber push rod installation location is not correct and so on.Secondly, the analysis of brake performance, proposed design should pay attention to some issues.Then, introduced the working principle of the cam drum brake, through theoretical analysis and Visual Basic programming language, programming and braking torque was calculated on the structural parameters such as the initial angle of friction plate was modified.Then, using Solidwork software, brake drums, brake shoes, linings were solid modeling, the model was meshed and finite element analysis, to ensure the reliability of its structure; on uneven brake drum allowable measures were calculated to determine the reasonable amount of allowable imbalance; given camshaft profile "S" surface design methods and steps, through the mapping software on the camshaft profile CAXA "S" plane was designed, and the cam the strength of the spline shaft part of a theoretical calculation, check; given tension spring design calculation steps, the use of Visual Basic programming language formula of tension springs were programmed to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the calculation sex; with computer drawing, the installation of the air chamber push rod design position, and chamber support the finite element analysis, to avoid the weak parts of the stress is too large.Finally, the brake bench test and road test vehicle to verify the reliability of its structure and performance.
