As time goes by, the materials and structure performance of reinforced concrete structures would gradually age and deteriorate, and even be damaged, with the change of natural environment and use condition. The corrosion of steel bar is the main and direct reason leading to the deterioration of the durability of the concrete structures, especially in the circumstances of alternating wet and dry environment of chloride, it would get worse.This thesis is centered on the above problem of steel corrosion, in accordance with the western transportation project "On the Research in Reasonable Durability of Concrete Bridges" (200631822302-04) based on the Ministry of Transportation. With the existing research results, the quantitative description by the date detected on the extent of steel corrosion in concrete was researched systematically. Main works are as follows:1. Through the research, this thesis is analyzed the mechanism, function, destroying style and relevant theory and technique of concrete structural durability in the circumstances of chloride. It is also discussed the whole process of concrete structural durability and the destroying modes of each stage.2. This thesis is analyzed the steel rusting mechanism, testing principle and influencing factors in concrete, and is explained the measuring theory and qualified measuring models of the steel rusting degree.3. According to the data survey and theoretical analyses, the wrier design the corresponding testing program:calibration test, wet-dry circular test and power-to-accelerate-steel-corrosion test. This thesis is also illustrated the methods of testing the steel corrosion in concrete.4. In the experiments, this thesis is built the measuring models of steel rusting in accordance with the theoretical measures to the steel rusting degree by Faraday's law with GECOR8 testing data by experiments and corrects the multiplying power factor of testing modes by weight-loss methods. It is also corrected the media factor of models and then concluded the qualified measuring models of steel rusting degree in concrete based on the GECOR8 testing signals according to the sample experiments of reinforced concrete.5. Adopting the test of concrete hollow slab hinge joint structural model, testing the whole rusting process of concrete structural durability and the qualified measuring models of steel rusting degree that has been built, the thesis is compared the measuring results with real data and then analyzed the errors which prove the results are nearly matched. These errors are allowed, so the built measuring model is reasonable and practical.
