With the rapid development of high-rise building structures, shear wall structure is being used widely. Shear wall in form of traditional reinforced concrete coupling beams does not get good aseismic consumed energy behavior, because of the larger stiffness and poor ductility. Steel-concrete compound structure is a new type of structure, developed on the basis of steel structures and reinforced concrete structures, playing fully the advantages of both steel and concrete. Large numbers of engineering examples and analysis proved its good seismic performance, drawing more and more attentions. It's a significative research that using composite coupled shear walls with steel linked beams instead of shear walls in form of common reinforced concrete beams. Based on existed tests and analysis, using the finite element analysis software SAP 2000, this paper makes a further nonlinear finite element analysis on the composite coupled shear wall structures with steel linked beams under low frequency cyclic loading. Specific contents are as follows:(1) Using the nonlinear multi-layer shell to build finite element model of composite coupled shear walls with steel linked beams in SAP2000. By contrasting to the actual test, the analysis result shows that the multi-layer shell model in SAP2000 is precision and practicable to analyse shear wall structure.(2) Build finite element model, using the time-history function to simulate the low frequency cyclic loading in the test. Showing its practicability through an example and the load simulation test.(3)Putting forward the hysteretic curve,skeleton curve,ductility coefficient by making multi-layer shell stress analysis of the composite coupled shear walls with steel linked beams and stress analysis of the frame element and the developing process of the plastic hinge. Contrast to the test and analysis the reason of the error.(4) Making analysis of the effect of P-△,axial compression ratio,,coupling beam stiffness reduction,and the seismic performance of composite coupled shear walls with steel linked beams with different types of plastic hinge. Based on the analysis results, putting forward some advices on structural seismic design.
