Air quality in the train has directly influence on the passenger comfort, so study of the indoor air flow in the train is important. In this paper, a compartment of the EMU sleeping train is taken as the research object model, the 3D air turbulence flow and the heat transfer are simulated by using the computational fluid dynamics software Fluent 6.3.26 with the RNGκ-εturbulence model.First, the temperature and the velocity in train with no-load are simulated numerically and from the simulated results that the wind speed on that bilateral window is larger, so the passengers can lay the head near the door when at rest.Through the error comparison between the experimental results and the simulation result, it show that it can be neglected for engineering applications, the RNGκ-εturbulence model is feasible for the airflow organization simulation in the EMU sleeping train so as to provide the basis for the manned simulation calculation.Next the train manned with door open vertical air supply, door open 45°air supply, door closed vertical air supply and door closed 45°air supply, under the four conditions the temperature field, velocity field, CO2 concentration field are simulated, and emphatically analyzes the airflow organization distribution and the influential factors of airflow organization under the four conditions. Finally based on the simulation results using draught sensation, air age, thermal comfort PMV-PPD index and ventilation efficiency and temperature efficiency index, the air quality under the four conditions was analyzed and compared with each condition, it is concluded that the air quality in the compartment and human thermal comfortThe result in this paper provide the basis for the optimize the ventilation in the high-speed trains and improving air quality in the box.
