The area change module is a crucial component in operation controi system for the high-speed Maglev railway traffic. Its main function is to coordinate and control the process of train running over decentralization as well as implement the safety-protection to the train. The performance of area change which is a key factor to enhance the riding comfortableness and the efficiency of transportation will have direct influence on train's reliability and safety. At present, there is not much related research at home and aboard, it's important to do some research on the area change technology, build a model, and finally design the area change module which meets the requirement. It has great significance for localization of operation control system for the high-speed Maglev railway traffic.The technology overview of operation control system for the high-speed Maglev railway traffic is firstly introduced, as well as the concept of area change. The status of technology about operation control system in the high-speed Maglev railway traffic and area change technology are summarized.Then, the theoretical knowledge of the Colored Petri Nets (CPN) such as basic concepts and mathematical descriptions are dissertated. At the same time, the characteristics and evaluation of CPN model are seriously studied.The structure and function of operation control system for the high-speed Maglev railway traffic is studied. After analyzing the basic principle and the function of area change, the solution of area change divided into four phases is designed. The CPN model of area change which is the integrity layer, the sub-system layer and the function layer is then built.Finally the function layer of CPN model is analyzed and dissertated in detail. Based on the CPN model of area change in preparatory stage, the state space analysis is advanced to analyze and validate the solution of area change proposed in this paper. Related research result has important value for providing a useful reference to development of application software about high-speed Maglev railway traffic.
