With the progress of the mechanical manufacturing technology and the development of the market economy, when enterprises producing products, not only the functionality of the products have high requirements, but also the shape design of the products should be fluent, unique and beautiful, in this way, could improve the competitiveness of the products better. Reverse engineering technology is developed in recent years with combination of a series of the analytical method and the application technology. It is based on the design methodology, using the design philosophy, method and technology, combine with all kinds of theoretical knowledge, engineering design experience and innovating thinking from professional technicists, analyzing, deepening and innovating for existing products, achieve direct conversions from products to CAD model. At present, reverse engineering is an efficient and brand new CAD model reconstruction method in modern manufacturing, and widely applied in many fields. Therefore, this article is mainly specialized in the research of screw conveyor's screw blade and the copy shape design of reverse engineering technology in mechanical complex profile parts.Firstly, it analyzes two kinds of data measuring method, namely the advantages and the disadvantages of contact measurement and non-contact measurement. According to the surface properties of screw conveyor's screw blade, puts forward data measurement method and process of screw conveyor's screw blade, and implements data measurement of screw ship unloader's feeding head.Then it discusses some different kinds of data process technology, according to the point cloud's characteristic of the screw conveyor's screw blade. In common data process techniques, choose the data processing method suitable for screw conveyor's screw blade and accomplish data processing of screw conveyor's screw blade.In the CAD Model reconstruction, it research two methods of curved surface reconstruction, namely the surface reconstruction method based on curve and directly fitting from surface curved piece of surface reconstruction method, according to the point cloud's characteristic and surface feature of screw conveyor's screw blade, choose the model reconstruction method which is suitable for screw conveyor's screw blade, through two steps of foundation surface and transition surface, accomplish the model's CAD surface reconstruction.Finally in the model testing technology, it analyzes the disadvantages of existing model checking methods, and based on this, puts forward the testing method and the testing procedure of screw conveyor's screw blade model, and proceeding the model checking for CAD model of constructed screw conveyor's screw blade.
