Culture is symbols, values, aesthetic ways, modes of thinking, norms and their (?)ys of doing things, etc which the specific colony has together, and subculture (?)ans the "son culture" which is divided from the major ones according to the value system and differences of the social forces. In the more pluralistic modern society, the subculture itself has got a certain approval and understanding. The subculture people and their behaviors have also been paid more and more close attention to.The society of our country has already entered the new period building the well-off society in an all-round way. All people s rational communication demands should be satisfied, but not merely major colony, only in this way could it really promote people's living standard in all facts. As the synthesis that people live in, city becomes the important manor where (sub)culture sprouts, develops and spreads. It is also the direct material object that bears the way of doing things under the influence (?) (sub)culture. As the advent of economic globalization, a growing number of cities have been obtaining economic growth while facing the trouble such as the loss of the characteristics of urban space and the convergence of urban culture.In the view of the thinking above, subculture and urban space are researched related in this thesis trying to find out the lost city sub-cultural space from the perspective of urban culture. First of all, the origin of subculture production is analyzed, and then deduce the theory of urban sub-culture space. At last, the precautions of the urban sub-culture space design come out. Particularly, detailed exposition is include the two respects, which is the deepening and the understanding of the subculture content, the types and characteristics of sub-culture space. The question, which existing in the subculture phenomenon as well as urban space design, is analyzed in the present stage of our country, and several propositions are given in designing urban space with satisfying the demands of subculture people. Finally, the conclusions that rational planning of urban sub-culture space environment are derived, in order to guide and support the life style of subculture people. At this time, creating many valuable and human places becomes the sacred and duty-bound responsibility of the city's builders and designers.
