As the witness of urban development and the carrier of urban memory,the cultural value it reflects is particularly precious in the context of rapid urban development.In the process of renewal and transformation of many old urban areas,with the collapse of the original material environment,the historical memory dissipates,and the new function is sluggish and astringent,which makes the block lose its vitality and gradually decline.Many historic districts that were once splendid have gradually become the dwelling places of the people at the bottom of the city.The environment is harsh and the industry is low-end,so it is in urgent need of renovation and improvement.However,these historic districts often have unique vitality factors,which are formed through years of precipitation and are an important part of urban vitality.Therefore,in the process of urban renewal,it is of great significance and value to study how to retain the cultural characteristics of historical blocks,restore vitality and achieve sustainable development.Therefore,the protection of historic district should not only stay on the material heritage,but also pay attention to its internal dynamic composition and protect and continue.In this paper,in the perspective of urban community culture regeneration,the civic culture and civic space and historical block of basic research,urban renewal in China in the historical block success vigor recession and transformation,tries to analyze street vitality of historic blocks constitute elements,combing historical street block the feasibility of energy regenerative approaches.Through the case investigation and design analysis of Xingxian street historic district in Qionglai city,SiChuan province,this paper discusses the countermeasures of historic district protection and reuse so as to continue the historical context and promote sustainable development..
