Building energy efficiency, energy crisis is particularly urgent in worldwide. Currently, countries of building energy is in-depth studied, among the many methods of energy conservation and research,developed periphery structure of the energy efficient building materials, new technology and the use of new energy are pay more attention.The air in the thermal conductivity of standard condition is very low, it is a perfect efficient heat preservation material, because of low thermal conductivity of the air and has a good thermal performance to form composite insulation material with other conventional insulation materials to combine, air in the building compound thermal insulation material in the external structure is widely used. At present, little attention has pay to the physical properties of the air for its quantitative analysis,the article is based on this starting point, take the air layer formed by building construction-(later referred to as the "air layer ") as a low "thermal insulation materials " to study, to discuss advantages and disadvantages of the cheap "thermal insulation material". And puts forward a new composite water phase change materials which is composited by "air layer "and water, taking them as a kind of new thermal insulation material to study, providing new reference to China's building energy efficiency and the development of the new low carbon of energy-saving material's researchThis paper firstly discusses the research background, the purpose and significance of research mainly content, research ideas and methods; secondly introduces the "air layer " used as insulation material in the application of building envelope structure and it's heat insulation of the basic theory and principle, theoretically the overall direction of research;thirdly discusses the "air layer " as heat insulation materials in the building envelope structure in the main part of the application, put the point that the "air layer " as heat insulation materials in the building envelope structure is mainly divided into parts of the external walls, roof and glass windows in the application envelope these three types, and summarized them in a more systematic study; the fourth is to take "air layer " as insulation material in the application of the building envelope structure's main part in case studies, by using the TBEC energy-saving software, taking the hunan baoshan minepark actual project to simulation,through qualitative and quantitative methods to take building envelope's three main parts - wall structure, roof and external structure of the glass doors and windows to do series of energy simulation, analyzing the advantages and disadvantages by the simulation results; the fifth is to advance a new type of low - carbon, low eco-building external materials which are combined with "air layer " and water, as the new reference of the development of our countries Energy-saving materials; in the end, the paper sum up the article, described the lack of the research and think about the future prospects.This paper tries to take the whole theory, application and energy simulation, application of new methods to study aspects of the "air layer " as heat insulation materials in buildings in Hunan Province in the application of external structure, hoping useful for our future new energy-saving materials research and new energy-saving method.
