Phase change material (PCM) is a new type of energy-saving insulation materials, energy changes with changes of phase change material in a biological process is due to this change makes phase change materials can better energy distribution and storage. For our country at present such a huge population base and the annual new housing area. Building energy consumption is an important part of our country’s energy consumption, and it is the importance of building energy conservation. Traditional wall insulation materials, energy saving effect is relatively low, in the past in the wall design and construction process in order to achieve a better wall insulation effect, the need to increase the thickness of the construction. But the increase of the thickness of the wall construction so that the cost of a disguised increase, while the load of the wall with the weight of the load will be relatively large increase. So for the traditional wall insulation materials, it is urgent to need a new material to change the current maintenance of the composition of the wall heat storage materials.In this paper, according to the phase change material and the different phase transition temperature, the phase change materials are briefly introduced. For example, some low temperature phase change materials like water and salt Na2SO4·10H2O、 CH3COONa·3H2O、CaCl2·10H2O、CaBr2·6H2O In addition, this article also briefly describes the paraffin phase change materials such as the composition of paraffin wax and some of the thermal properties of paraffin.The application of thermal insulation materials in building envelope, energy conservation status of buildings, insulation form of composite wall, and energy saving mechanism analysis of phase change wall are analyzed.In this paper, the ANSYS finite element software is introduced, and some ideas of the ANSYS in the analysis of the phase transformation of the thermodynamic module are described. Numerical simulation of phase change materials using ANSYS is carried out. The temperature field of concrete slab is simulated, and the temperature and heat flux of different time periods are obtained after heating the concrete slab to a certain time. Similarly, in the case of the same heat flux and the same heating condition, the temperature field of the phase change material is simulated, and the temperature and the heat flux condition are also obtained. By using ANSYS to simulate the numerical simulation, it is known that the phase change material has better heat storage effect. Using phase change materials in building, not only energy saving but also good thermal insulation effect.
