| At present, seismic retrofitting of reinforced concrete frame structures can use a variety of methods. Many studies have shown that seismic retrofitting with steel braces can improve the lateral stiffness under frequently occurred earthquakes and the capability of energy-dissipation under seldomly occurred earthquakes of the reinforced concrete frame structures, which can save construction time, occupy little space and do not affect architectural function and elevation severely, so has been used in practical retrofitting projects extensively. But in recent years, the research of reinforced concrete frames strengthened with Y-eccentrically brace was extremely limited at home and abroad. So the research of RC frames strengthened with Y-eccentrically brace is particularly important and necessary.Through the comparative study of the two reinforced concrete frames strengthened with Y-eccentrically brace in two ways, which have the same shapes, materials, dimension, several parameters of these frame behavior, such as side stiffness, limit load and energy consume ability, were studied.At the same time, the nonlinear analysis of reinforced concrete frames strengthened with Y-eccentrically brace are analysized by ANSYS 10.0 finite element.Through the lowly circular and repeates loading, the load bearing, deformation, and ducrility of the reinforced concrete frames strengthened with Y-eccentrically brace were measured.Based on the results, several conclusions were obtained. It provided the references for relevant researchers and designers.Through the ansysis by ANSYS 10.0 finite element, it is proved that it is feasible. |
