With the power system become the main driving force of economic development, development of power industry in promoting national economic development and social progress plays an increasingly important role. Safety, reliability and advanced technology of 500kV power equipment highlight the growing importance. The high-voltage breaker is the indispensable electrical equipment of power system. Application of single-break breakers can improve the safety and stability to the network of electricity supply. At the same time it can significantly reduce energy loss and bring technical and economic benefits. Breaker OFPT (B) -550, that Baotoubei 500kV Substation used, is a type of the SF6 CAN-TYPE breakers with single-break.This thesis describes the development, application and significance of the high voltage breaker, then outlines the basic knowledge of high voltage breakers, and focuses on the advanced nature of the single-break breakers. Then it leads to the SF6 CAN-TYPE breakers with single-break which tape is OFPT (B)-550. The thesis describes and analysis of the circuit breaker's internal structure, operating systems, SF6 gas system and other issues in detail. Finally, the author has the improvements on the problems found in the practical applications of the single-break which used in Baotoubei 500kV Substation, and the author solves the problems such as the liquefaction of SF6 gas and pumping frequently. The thesis analyses the operational status of breakers and summary the operation experience, the valuable suggestions was made for the other companies when they face the same problem. |
