Circuit breaker is an essential part in the power system with the role of controlling and protecting. With the continuous improvement of our country power grid transmission level, metal short time of high voltage circuit breaker is generally less than the technical specifications of the state grid, the situation brings hidden security danger to the operation of the power grid. Domestic market needs a high voltage circuit breaker with self-defense ability, and requirements the protection device can't rely on delay time. In this background, this paper designs a small volume, compact structure, stable and reliable delay institutions, and the time delay mechanism through hydraulic drive of hydraulic valve to meet control and adjustment the metal short time, achieves the defend ability for circuit breaker.This topic research object is to realization the circuit breaker self-defense ability with delay institutions, accordance with the design specifications of hydraulic operating mechanism to carry on the design of this mechanism, and through hydraulic transmission theory knowledge analysis the feasibility of the designed structure; In order to improve the success rate of test and save the cost, through the complex shape method of mechanical optimization design and orthogonal test method achieve parameters optimization for time delay mechanism structure. By using Autodesk Inventor and AMESim software it optimization the Simulation model, and using the Autodesk Simulation CFD and AMESim software simulation analysis, which analysis the internal flow field structure, pressure and speed of change. At the same time it also sets up a test platform, and verify its feasibility.
