Effect Of Redispersible Emulsion Powder On The Performance Of Cement Mortar

Dry mortar is a kind of composite cementitious material which composed of adding different dosage of redispersible emulsion powder (or other organic cementitious material) and other functional materials into cement mortar (or other inorganic cementitious material) to make it be modified on the basis of different requirements. Dry mortar are used numerously and extensively. Among them the most consumable material with highest quality requirements is bonding mortar and crack resistant mortar used for exterior thermal insulation system.This article introduces the development course, the bond type of material and components of dry mortar products. The developing direction and the trend of dry mortar products are stated.The mix proportion of bonding mortar and crack resistant mortar, the performance of main component materials are researched detailedly.The main achievements are as follows.(1) The bond properties test of bonding mortar and cement mortar matrix is made, the failure mode of bond section is analyzed.The tensile bonding strengths of bonding mortar with different dosage of redispersible emulsion powder are measured.And the relationship of the quantity of redispersible emulsion powder and the tensile bond strength of bonding mortar is obtained. The quantity range of redispersible emulsion powder is put forward.(2) The bond properties test of crack resistant plaster mortar and cement mortar matrix is made, the failure mode of bond section is analyzed.The tensile bonding strengths of crack resistant plaster mortar with different dosage of redispersible emulsion powder are measured.And the relationship of the quantity of redispersible emulsion powder and the tensile bond strength of crack resistant plaster mortar is obtained. The quantity range of redispersible emulsion powder is put forward.(3)Through the study of the corresponding changes relationship about the different quantity of redispersible emulsion powder with the tensile bond strengths of bonding mortar and crack resistant mortar,the mechanism of action of redispersible emulsion powder on the cement mortar is discussed.It can provide the basis for the use of redispersible emulsion powder with safely, scientificly and reasonably.
