Based on study of nonlinear theories of cable stayed v-shaped iron tower (CSVIT), this paperanalyzes the big displacement and small strain of space truss and geometric nonlinear character ofsuspended cable, deducing the rigidity matrix of space truss and finite element model ofsuspended cable, developing the mixed finite element method of space miss and suspended cable.This paper gives the mathematical model of the space truss optimum design in practicalproject, and points out the shortcomings of optimum method often applied by engineers. authorputs forward the quasi-full load method, and expatiate on the method and the peculiarity of quasi-full load structural design in details.Based on the matrix displacement method, author put forward the whole stability analysismethod of space truss, deducing the geometric rigidity matrix of space miss. According to above-mentioned idea, this paper uses load increment method to analyze the stability of CSVIT.Finally, aiming at the structure of CSVIT this paper provides the complete solution of forceanalysis, optimum design and whole stability analysis. On the basis of theory analysis, authordevelops the FORTRAN program of CSVIT for force analysis, optimum design and wholestability analysis. Through calculating a case, author obtains the result corresponding with facts.
