Firstly, the development and application of the single tower cable-stayed bridge is reviewed respectively. Several typical models of cable-girder anchorage and cable-pylon anchorage are described. Then the design scheme used as the research background of this paper is introduced, which is an unusual-shape single tower and single cable plane cable-stayed bridge with steel box girder. The spatial finite element model of entire bridge based on beam elements is established by using MIDAS/CIVIL a professional bridge analysis software. The bridge structure’s displacement and stress under the action alone and combined of dead load, vehicular load, lateral wind load and temperature change, etc are analyzed and calculated systematicly. Envelope of composite load effect is studied. In addition the safety factor of vehicular load is calculated and analyzed. A full bridge finite element model based on integrated element is established by universal finite element software ALGOR. To simulate the anchorage structure of cable-pylon and cable-girder in detail, the mesh of the cable-pylon and cable-girder anchorage segment are refined in the full bridge model, due to the large cable force and the great effect by the overall displacement. The stress of the cable-pylon anchorage and cable-girder anchorage under the action alone and combined of dead load and vehicular load is calculated. Then the stress distribution of the steel anchorage box and concrete pylon wall on the cable-pylon anchorage structure are analyzed, as well as the steel anchorage box and the beam segment on the cable-girder anchorage stucture. Some suggestions of anchorage structure are given in this paper.
