In this paper, based on elastic theory, FEM and unsteady temperature field analysis theory are mainly applied to study the cracks of spillway dam on Fengman Power Station. The cracks formation and cracks influence to the dam have been analyzed, the overall strengthen plan is presented. In order to analysis the cracks formation and the crack influence to the dam, no-crack dam and crack dam are analyzed in temperature field and strength. Temperature field is calculated based on program studied by us and multi element ALGOR SUP9 1 structural analysis program. We have draw into conclusion that the cracks will threat the safety of the dam and the reinforcing dam is necessary in order to assure the global of dam. The presented strengthen plan to the spillway cracks is that the top of dam is drilled hole, grouted and prestressed anchor rope. In order to determine and optimize karameter of the anchor ropes number, site and sequence of prestress and grouting, the variety of the possible construct progresses were imitated to calculate and analysis, repeatedly combined, compared results so that the better plan is presented at last. This plan has used in the realty project .its advantages are as follows: (1) The dam is safety in the course of construct. (2)The construct is feasible. (3)The value of prestressed anchor rope is lower. It is important to dam safety operation and is reference valuable to strengthen of the other dam in northeast area.
