| Downtown area in traditional urban district has been the main spot for people's dailyactivity of shopping, relaxation and entertainment for a long history and it's environmentquality seems to be one of most important elements which influences everyone living inhe area.However, along with the rapid development of city construction, one significantproblem emerging in the process of many downtown area renovation programs is thathuman's physiological and psychological needs is usually ignored.From a professional point of view, this thesis mainly discusses the method of how toestablish a humanity-based living environment that is coherent with contemporarylifestyle in traditional downtown area.First,the author points out the deficiency incontemporary downtown area construction.
