A new type of technique passing azimuth angle vertically is expatiated in this paper. The technique based on optical polarization and magnetic rotation principles may be used in high梡recision measurement of azimuth stepout and azimuth synchronization between two disconnected mechanically devices. It is a key in short distance automatism collimation system in course of missile launching from ground. Firstly, the general situation of weapon development in this world is recited, so that the essentiality of researching the technique passing azimuth angle vertically is demonstrated. Secondly, the principles and projects to passing azimuth angle vertically are expatiated. This is a new method based on physics梠ptics principle. It?s virtues are short synchronization梩ime, strong anti梔isturbing and weak electromagnetism disturbing to other equipments. Thirdly, the configuration of sample developed following the precept is introduced, and the measuring precision is analyzed. At the mean time, the reasons to measuring errors basing on vast experiment data are analyzed. Finally, some problems found in course of development are discussed and some betterment methods are advanced. Above all, because the technique reciting in this paper is not sensitive to the environment disturbs and the precision fixing it asked is not high, it is easy to extend the technique to military affairs and the people?s livelihoods.
