In order to expand the application of the Two-amplitude actively clamped resonant DC-link technology to half-bridge inverter, Half-Bridge Two-amplitude Actively Clamped Resonant DC-Link Inverter (HBTACRLI) and the corresponding control strategy are proposed. In this paper, the operation process has been discussed in detail. The optimization of the system parameters from the viewpoint of system losses has been done. The simulation, design considerations, and experimental results are included. A 3KW single-phase half-bridge prototype circuit has been built with resonant frequency over 400 KHz and excellent output performance. And a universal CPLD-based controller for Two-amplitude Actively Clamped Resonant DC-Link Inverter is proposed too. A 6KW SVM-based hysteresis current controlled three-phase full-bridge prototype circuit with the proposed controller has been built, and experimental results are also shown.
