Rapid development of highway constract needs corresponding improvement of pavement bearing capacity evaluation technique and theory. The presence of Falling Weight Deflectometer meets this need.FWD, Benkelman Beam and Plate Bearing tests were conducted on subgrade layer, subbase layer, base layer and surface layer of one selected pavement during construction in 1998. Correlations between defections measured by three different test devices have been established through deflections comparison and analysis.Dynamic modulus of layers is backcalulated by SIDMOD program with the deflection basin measured by FWD. Static modulus is determined based on Benkelman Beam and Plate Bearing data. Applicability of different devices in modulus calculation is summarized.The research results of this dissertation prorided the experimental and academic basis for the spread of FWD.
