Artillery ball firing object showing & controlling system mainly resolves the difficulty of object showing and guarantee in ball firing.According to the artillery shooting requirement, the system is divided into direct aim subsystem which adopts tow ropeway control strategy, and indirect aim subsystem which adopts object showing & controlling strategy. The indirect aim subsystem uses a computer to transmit remote control instruction so as to control the showing equipment-object indicator to accomplish kinds of object showing according to scheduled mode(up-down target, to light, to smoke or to blast). With combination of multi computer controlled object indicators, the subsystem could realize the simulation of moving object. At one time, the system software also provides the main functions of making maneuver directing schedule, including tactics planning, database researching, achievement evaluation, artillery shooting calculation, etc. The system has been used in "ShenLu No.l" artillery ball firing tactics maneuver of Guangzhou Military Area. The system behaved in gear, and satisfied the requirement. The performance is good.In this paper, the project origin, research significance, related technical status and main research contents are briefly introduced. And then object indicator design, communication interface of main controller and tactics director controlling software design are illustrated. Finally, the paper gives out the test and performance reports, and brings forward the main contents of future research.
