Packet radio network since there were widely in the field of military and civilian applications. In recent years, with the rapid development of information technology, packet wireless communications technology has made great development, is regarded as an important part of the future personal communication system. Packet radio network device artillery unit has begun to equipment, due to the lack of awareness of packet radio network, has been used to preach, over the phone to command, packet radio network is in the army can’t, can’t be used, not used to use.This project according to this status quo, the application of the packet wireless communications in the artillery was studied, according to different situations and tasks, the equipment configuration, network connection, network planning management and implementation aspects and so on were studied. Using OPNET network simulation software to build the framework of artillery packet radio network, several typical topology of network has carried on the modeling and simulation, the network design and planning of artillery packet radio network experiment platform; Using figure theory the reliability of the artillery group network, interconnection ability and antiinterference ability were evaluated, put forward the measures to improve the communication efficiency of the structure through the network. Finally, relying on local area network(LAN), artillery packet radio network simulation training system is developed, and can be individual station and data terminal operations training, also can undertake BaoBingBu(points) connected to the Internet training, provides a means of training and implementation of packet radio with the platform.The results on the basis of study of packet radio network, close to the practice of artillery operational characteristics and the computer simulation and the combination of mathematical modeling analysis, evaluation and optimization of artillery packet radio network structure and the organization form, the influence factors of artillery packet radio network is analyzed, and puts forward some solutions, in order to better meet the requirement of information-based war of artillery communication, reduces the development costs. Operation platform, and through the network communications protocol development, build a training packet radio network communication network platform, set operations, monitoring, evaluation, and other functions into an organic whole, can be individual station and data terminal operations training, also can undertake BaoBingBu(points) connected to the Internet training, strengthen the functionality and practicality of the system.
