Some malfunctions often arise during the running process of power system. But the most frequent and harmful malfunction is short circuit All kinds of short circuit sometimes bring serious damage to industry and agriculture's production and people's life, because they can affect the well-balanced running of power system and consequently destroy the supply of electricity. So, it's important to study short circuit. The thesis mainly studies the correlatively pivotal technique and theory during the design process of computer control system for short circuit experimentation, which is an important part of dynamic simulation laboratory.Firstly, the thesis expatiates the structure and the project of the control system, based on the structure of simulative power system and the constitution of short circuit experiment platform.Secondly, the thesis gives emphasis to the pivotal technique and theory about system hardware and application software. The content of this part is the emphases of this thesis. In aspect of hardware, it basically includes selection of hardware and design of data acquisition board. In aspect of application software, the thesis mainly covers the blocking design, interface optimization, data traffic, and so on. In addition, the thesis discusses how to calculate short circuit current by computer. Especially, it studies the design technique how to accomplish complicated calculation by MATLAB language under the Visual Basic environment.Thirdly, the thesis analyses the dependability design of computer control system based on the principium of the dependability. At last, the thesis gives the expectation on the development of the control system.
