| Quality is the main target of design. Design may directly influence the quality of products and customers’trust in an enterprise, and therefore, which will be positive or negative affect on the development for an enterprise. An advanced and practical design method may help in achieving a good design and accelerate R&D of an enterprise, and accordingly, to a great extent, promotes the development of an enterprise; consequently, it is given big importance by R&D personnel and enterprises.In last one hundred years, scholars have put forward approximately sixty design methods, which have promoted quality of design in different degrees. The most important work undertaken by the designers is to effectively use and combine these methods so as to achieve product design of sound functions and properties. The synthesis design method put forward by the Chinese scholars may enable the designers to achieve the said work and prove the dependability and efficiency of design methods. In the course of design, the product of high quality and the dynamic parameters may be obtained through product design planning, function optimization design, dynamic optimization design, intelligence optimization design and visual optimization design. The synthesis design method avoids the randomness when determining design methods.It is difficult to get an accurate conclusion on the quality or the functions or properties of a product before it is produced. As a result, the question has been raised on the quality or dependability of functions and properties, namely, the appraisal on dependability of quality and functions and properties before making products. It is vital for the management of an enterprise to know the dependability as early as possible, and then estimate and plan the R&D. Therefore, the study on dependability of quality is of great significance for an enterprise.This thesis focuses on, under the frame of the synthesis design method, the functions and properties of product quality, namely, the dependability of product quality, and then makes deep study on the functions and optimization of functions of the synthesis design method, and the effects of functions and optimization of functions on dependability.The study on the subject of this thesis has been financed by the Key Project of China National Natural Science Foundation (No.50535010). The conclusion of study will play an important role in improving and expanding the modern design methods. The contents of study are as follows:(1) To summarize the current study on design theories and methods; to classify the major domestic and international design theories and methods, and analyze development trend of such theories and methods; to discuss the key points in such theories and methods; to demonstrate the development, current study and development trend of dependability. (2) To demonstrate the concepts and theories of quality and their evolution, focusing on costs, economical and productive efficiency of quality; to make study on elements and equations of quality, integrity and targets of technical system, relation equation of contents and methods, appraisal indices and methods of design quality, control on design quality under the modern synthesis products design method, and the role of the synthesis design method.(3) To discuss the concept of dependability, and the targets, parameters, contents, technology and methodology of dependability design; to analyze the key factors affecting dependability, effects of function optimization on dependability, and the dependability tests—the method used to check dependability; and finally, to appraise the dependability of vibration screen with a mathematic model.(4) To discuss the targets, contents and methods of function optimization design, considering the functions are important in the quality of products the synthesis design method. To analyze the determination of reasonable functions, and make combined analysis on the dependability, functions and optimization design so as to improve the dependability. To analyze the main function and function optimization design, and then auxiliary function and function optimization design, the effects of function optimization on dependability, and the improvement of dependability through function optimization. Furthermore, to demonstrate the improvement of quality and dependability, and accordingly increase the customers’ loyalty and satisfaction by using the definition—measuring—analysis—improvement—control method.(5) To make combined analysis on the dependability and function optimization so as to increase the dependability and usability. To analyze structural property and dynamic optimization design and their role in improving the quality and dependability. To analyze use property and intelligence optimization design and their role in improving the quality and dependability. To analyze manufacturing property and visual optimization design and their role in improving the quality and dependability. To demonstrate the improvement of quality and dependability by using the definition—measuring—analysis—improvement—control method and the three approaches enhancing the dependability.(6) By taking the large compressor rotor vibration test system as the object, to study the dynamic optimization design, intelligence design, kinematics visualization and assembly visualization of properties; to make impact response property and reliability testing on slow-time-variable-mass of rotor system and pedestal looseness of rotor. The practices have proved that the product quality may be improved, and design knowledge of reliability and dependability for further concept design and innovation design by combining the synthesis design method and dependability and using the dynamic optimization design, intelligence optimization design and visual optimization design. |
