Due to the shortage of oil resources and the environmental pollution , using substitutive fuels is a method to solve these problems . Emulsified oil has been recognized as an efficient method that can lower fuel consumption and emissions of internal combustion engine .By referring to research works in this field done by many researchers and according to knowledge of surfactants, the emulsifiers are selected and mixed by the rule of Hydrophile-Lipophile -Balance value, a mount of dosage experiments done by ourselves , we choose several kinds of emulsified oil which has good stability and use them do a mount of actual-run experiments on the duplex-cylinder internal combustion engine and single-cylinder internal combustion engine . We get many data by these experiments . By using these data ,we fully describe present research stage of several difficult problems , such as stability , saving oil, debasing exhaust gas.A combusion model of an oil/water emulsion droplet is derived is derived according to diffusion equation , energy conservation equation and mass conservation equation . A method of criterion on mcrio-explosion by the limit of superheat temperature is also presented . We workout a calculate program by using Microsoft Visual C++ . The combusion parameters calculated by the model in the diesel engine , for example , 1135 diesel engine , can explain performance results tested in it.
