| The study object of this thesis is the rational disposition of Nos 2 & 3-phase handling machinery in Shanghai Waigaoqiao CFS, with the purpose of meeting the demands of containerization in Shanghai Port, tapping the potential and increasing the throughput of container terminal. The focus of the thesis is the rational disposition of handling machinery numbers and capabilities.This thesis comprises 5 sections. The first section, the foreword of the thesis, analyses in detail the development position of Shanghai container industry and, after comparing with the advanced container machinery level in the world, reaches the conclusion that the insufficient productive capacity of Shanghai CFS is to a great extent due to the irrational disposition of machinery. The second section introduces the process of technology programming of Waigaoqiao Nos 2 & 3-phase container terminals, analyses several comparatively mature technology planning systems and their features as well as some mechanical performance indexes, and compares them with each other. The third section shows the decision making on the selection from the proposed technological plans and comes to the conclusion with the help of AHP that rubber-tyred gantry cranes should be chosen. The fourth section expounds the disposition of the handling machinery in accordance with the technological specifications. The last section summarizes the conclusions and the suggestions.This thesis features prominently in its guiding significance for productive practive and organizational reform as it puts forward the comprehensive machinery disposition plan for Waigaoqiao Nos 2 & 3-phase projects in the light of the "zero angle" condition of the shore line. It throws light on the increase of terminal throughput and the disposition of container handling machinery according to different types of vessels. So it can meet the requirements of container loading and unloading and is technologically practical. |
