The Third Space In Office Buildings - Open Communication Space

Space for resting and exchanging in an office building is a novel concept. This concept focuses on relieving crew staff of their fatigue and improving exchanging among them. Space for resting and exchanging bases on human nature, and realizes the unity of material and spirits. This paper considers two kinds of important factors, human factors and place factors, as main basis of designing, and analyses the effects of the dimension of the space, the enclosure of the space, the furnishings in the space and the atmosphere of the space respectively. Then a related conclusion is drawn, and the novel thought and methods of designing of space of resting and exchanging are given. Buildings with such concept can improve effectively the environment of offices, and reflect the concerning for the human nature.
