Solid rocket motor design is a complicated systems engineering. With applying technology of computer aided design to solid rocket motor design, efficiency and quality of the motor is improved, and designers are released from simple iteration to have more time on creativity. The main program and interfaces of nozzle CAD system are compiled with Borland C++ builder. According to the design process, the nozzle CAD system achieves profile design, structure designing and heat defend designing of nozzle firstly. Then it calculates the quantity, drawing nozzle figure with parametric method. Followed, temperature field is analyzed with limited difference, and direct optimize and inherited method complement nozzle profile optimization. Finally, all the function modules are integrated into an intact nozzle CAD system. The paper discusses functions of the system in the abstract. The system proves to be efficient with design examples. As an important part of SRMCAD, nozzle CAD system will play an important role in the developing of solid rocket motor.
