As the international quality competition is getting more and more drastic, enterprises continually realize that perfect quality of products is not achieved by manufacturing, but by designing. Therefore, it is necessary to start from the headwaters of quality. That is to say, product quality must be controlled from design phase. Taguchi Method is just the most powerful weapon in improving design quality. Combining the implementary project of a certain giant state-owned enterprise in Xi'an, this paper profoundly discusses the theory and practice of Taguchi Method.This paper thoroughly summarizes the theory of Taguchi Method on the basis of research method of Quality Engineering combining Statistics, Quality Management and Communication Engineering etc. The whole system of Taguchi Theory is brought forward. Furthermore, the basic concept and principle connected with implementing Thrice Design are discussed.Combining the implementary experience of research project, the author concludes the thought and suggestion of successful implementation of Thrice Design. At last, the implementary difficulties of Taguchi Method are analyzed on the basis of enterprise status of our country and the effective measures are put forward.The paper demonstrates that Taguchi Method has some theory defect, but it doesn't affect the application value of this method. If only the proper measures are adopted in the phase of Parameter Design which is the key phase of Thrice Design, enterprises may obtain the implementary success better. It is the key view of this paper.
